The vineyards of The Ned are located on the banks of the Waihopai River and on the southern side of the Wairau Valley. The river runs the length of the 268ha vineyard and is the origin of the shingle-based soil.
A nose of nettles & grass leads to generous gooseberry flavours with a smoky herbal twist on the palate. The stony terroir gives the wine a subtle gunflint minerality which delivers extra complexity.

Special Distribution
We offer our whole range of fine wines online, including wines stored at our temperature controlled Fine Wine Centre in London. Wines labelled 'Special Distribution' are sent by courier from the Fine Wine Centre to your local Majestic before your delivery can be completed. This allows you to choose from a much greater range, but does mean delivery may take a few days longer than usual.
